Landfx was engaged by LDK to deliver the landscape design and documentation for he Amberfield Seniors Living, creating a diverse and highly considered landscape focused on resident wellbeing, recreation and connection with nature.
Working collaboratively with LDK and Rothelowman Architects, Landfx developed the landscape masterplan through the Works Approval process, responding to the site’s unique environmental conditions and navigating significant constraints, including bushfire requirements, while maintaining the overall landscape vision.
The masterplan is structured around three distinct parkland settings, each offering a different experience for residents.

The Upper Parkland extends the life of the central residents’ club into the landscape, offering a welcoming setting for social connection, relaxation and informal recreation.
At the heart of the Mid Parkland, a full-size bowling green creates a vibrant focus for activity and community life, framed by layered planting, landscaped terraces and shaded areas for gathering and spectating.
The Lower Parkland offers a quieter and more immersive experience, transitioning into a naturalistic landscape designed to enhance biodiversity, provide habitat for local wildlife and encourage residents to connect with the surrounding environment.
Together, the three parklands create a rich sequence of social, recreational and nature-based experiences, promoting resident wellbeing while giving the development a distinctive and cohesive landscape identity.
