The Site is located on the edge of the suburb of Bellevue Hill. It is elevated high above Cooper Park Road and is generally oriented to the west / south west. It has enviable access to a range of recreational amenity, including tennis, bush walking, play, exercise and open space. In immediate proximity is Cooper Park, a 17.7 hectare open space that includes 12 hectares of bush land. The Park supports a wide variety of indigenous flora and fauna and exhibits a strong native character that extends into the neighbouring streets. The slopes of the park are typified by rocky sandstone outcrops that form sustained cliff lines and numerous overhangs. Parts of the Park were once utilized as a sandstone quarry site.
